What’s included in your class:
Children & Teen Classes - - Clay, in-house glazes, firing
Adult Classes - - In-house glazes, open studio time, firing if under 8” in height or diameter.
Open Studio Hours :
We host open studio hours for adult students + home memberships only. Open studio hours are self-guided and must be booked in advance as there is limited space. You can participate in the open studio as much as you want, as long as it's during our available hours. Please note that classes will be going on simultaneously as open studio in the opposite-making studio. For example, if you sign up for a wheel slot, there will be a hand-building class going on during some of those hours. Sign up for open studio slots here.
Clay & Glazes:
We fire Cone 6 oxidation and use a Cone 6 stoneware. Outside clay and glazes are welcome but only with approval by Katie.
Please note, adult weekly classes do not include the price of clay. You will need to purchase the clay from Ovington Pottery for this class.

Firing your work:
Firing is included your class price for pieces up to 8” in height or width. If over these dimensions, the piece will $.06 per cubic inch. You are also welcome to rent a full kiln which can be discussed directly with Katie.
Cancellation Policy:
Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you will not be able to make it to your lesson. At this time, we do not have make up classes for Adults except for extenuating circumstances. Children and Teen classes do not have makeup sessions. If you are taking a Private lesson, you are welcome to reschedule as per our cancellation policy below.
If you contact us less than 24 hours in advance it is not possible to refund or reschedule your private lesson or workshop.
You can receive a refund for a class per the timeline below:
- 30 days before the start of class = 100% refund
- 14 days before the start of class = 50% refund
- less than 14 days before the start of class = credit for a different class
- less than 24 hours before the start of class = no refund
There are no refunds for classes already in session.
If a class does not fill sufficiently, we may cancel the class or lesson one week prior to the scheduled date.
Children and Teen Need-Based Opportunities
We believe that children and teenagers should have the opportunity to learn about art regardless of financial ability. Need-Based Work Study opportunities are available for hand-building classes for one child each semester.
