Become a part of our studio community but work from the comfort of your own home! The Home Membership is geared towards people who are familiar working with clay. This means, understanding how to build correctly to allow for structural integrity and appropriate glaze application.
If you have a history with clay and ceramics, this might be a good fit for you!
Home Memberships begin on the 1st of each month.
The Studio has room for 12 Home Membership spaces - 4 are left.
PLEASE NOTE: You will have access to the studio for glazing only, not for making. This means that you make your work at home and bring it to the studio when it is ready to fire. If you have not yet worked with clay, I suggest signing up for one of our Class Sessions and then transitioning into the Home Membership after that.

If you’re interested in working with clay but aren’t ready to commit to a full class, we offer a private 4-week handbuilding tableware course designed to prepare you for creating at home.
Week 1: Pinching
Pinching is the most approachable and meditative way to begin working with clay. In this first week, you’ll learn this foundational technique while creating simple bowls and vases.
Week 2: Coiling
Coiling is an excellent method for building height in hand-built forms. This week, you’ll focus on making vases, planters, mugs, or bowls.
Week 3: Soft Slabs
Soft slab construction allows for more geometric or non-symmetrical forms. You’ll create pieces like rectangular catch-alls and mugs while exploring this versatile technique.
Week 4: Glazing
Glazing adds color and finish to your ceramic work. In the final week, you’ll learn how to glaze your pieces at Ovington Pottery, preparing you to confidently use the studio during your Home Membership
Classes will meet four times for two hours at a time, most likely on Saturday mornings.
