How can I visit the studio?
Please see the contact page to make an appointment to visit the studio.
Due to private residents living in the building and the studio not having regular open hours, we ask that you make an appointment before visiting unless there is an Open Studio Event.
Is there an elevator for the studio?
No, the studio is located in a 3rd floor walkup.
What is your class cancellation policy?
Cancellation Policy:
Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you will not be able to make it to your lesson. At this time, we do not have make up classes for Adults except for extenuating circumstances. Children and Teen classes do not have makeup sessions. If you are taking a Private lesson, you are welcome to reschedule as per our cancellation policy below.
If you contact us less than 24 hours in advance it is not possible to refund or reschedule your private lesson or workshop.
You can receive a refund for a class per the timeline below:
- 30 days before the start of class = 100% refund
- 14 days before the start of class = 50% refund
- less than 14 days before the start of class = credit for a different class
- less than 24 hours before the start of class = no refund
There are no refunds for classes already in session.
If a class does not fill sufficiently, we may cancel the class or lesson one week prior to the scheduled date.
Do you have wheel classes for children?
Wheel classes exist for ages 12 and up.
Can I use an outside clay during my class or Home Membership?
You are welcome to use outside clay and glazes if you take a class or become a Home Member, as long as they are approved by Katie.
I need to miss a class. What is the Make-Up Class policy?
At this time, there are no makeup classes available. If you are taking an Adult Class and have an extenuating circumstance, please contact Katie.
Do you fire work that is not from a student or a Home Membership?
Yes. There are 2 kilns available for rental at Ovington Pottery. Please see the page here for more information.
How many wheels does the studio have?
The studio has 3 wheels, one for the teacher and the other 2 are for the students.
How many people can participate in a party?
We can fit up to 10 people for a party or private event.
When can I pick my work up from a private party or lesson?
Pots or sculptures made in a private lesson or party, can most likely be picked up 3 weeks after the session. Sometimes it takes a little longer as we wait for the kilns to fill.
Do you sell gift cards?
Gift Cards are available for purchase here. They can be used towards a class or materials.
